Nov 1, 2023 · I've been working with Kontakt 7 on and off for the past few days now (first the player, then the full instrument & library) and I'm honestly pleasantly surprised with my upgrade in the overall. The Time Machine Pro algorithm is clearly different in Kontakt 7 when 'Keep Formants' is enabled, but in many cases it's not better than Kontakt 6. Licensed libraries will work in the free version. With all these drawbacks I still think that Kontakt is a must have item for modern production. For bass I can play the parts on a bass or I use MODO bass, which is a amazing and much better than the NI stuff. or native isntrument does not work that way ? (some companies work like that, you get a discount if you already own 1 plugin or more from a bundle you want to buy) thanks ! Kontakt also has some synthesis ability, as well. If they have intro promo, it would be lower. For now I don´t need Kontakt 7 , but they will start to make new libraries that you can open Categories. I just upgraded to ultimate for the first time, and that was worth it too,, although I'll admit I haven't even put enough time into getting everything out of standard, but I needed Kontakt 7 anyway, and there was enough value to make the jump. That hardware instrument was, frankly, a pain to use; FM Zone isn’t. Both run through Kontakt/Komplete Kobtrol if I want to manipulate from the keyboard.
